Taking a look back on a few of the opportunities I've had last year one of the most memorable was certainly volunteering for the Gold Coast 600, and being able to get a taste of the photography that goes on during the races as well as photographing each of the volunteers around the entire area.
It was a wonderful experience, I had the chance to feel slightly more legitimate with the help of an offical photographer's vest. being able to meet so many different people and being able to capture their moment of 'fame'.
Below are a few of the images I capture while under supervision of the other photographers.
Being able to get access behind the chicanes was quite the surprise! Especially as the cars sped around each lap in the wet weather. Attempting to shoot the cars was definitely a new challenge that I had come across before, particularly since I rarely shoot sports, motorsports even more so!
