Gold Coast 600

Looking back on a few of the opportunities I had last year, one of the most memorable was undoubtedly volunteering for the Gold Coast 600 and being able to get a taste of the photography that goes on during the races, as well as photographing each of the volunteers around the entire area.

It was a wonderful experience; I had the chance to feel slightly more legitimate with the help of an official photographer's vest, plus being able to meet so many different people and capture their moment of 'fame'.

Below are a few of the images I captured while under the supervision of the other photographers.

Being able to get access behind the chicanes was quite the surprise! Especially as the cars sped around each lap in the wet weather. Attempting to shoot the cars was a new challenge that I had come across before, mainly since I rarely shoot sports, motor sports even more so!
