Exceed Worldwide & Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (CSPO)

Clinics such as this one at The Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (CSPO) provide a range of free physical rehabilitation services, particularly for those in need. At this clinic, some students are practising their training as prosthetists and orthotists by equipping Cambodians of all ages with assistive prosthetics and orthotics for them to have more rewarding lives in their community (CSPO – The Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, 2018; Exceed Worldwide, 2018).

While many of their recipients are land-mine survivors, Exceed Worldwide, and CSPO assists other patients, including individuals affected by polio, cerebral palsy, and club foot. By doing this, they aim to reduce poverty while simultaneously increasing the individual and family’s self-sufficiency through services and incentives such as rehabilitation, community work, training, and advocacy (CSPO – The Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, 2018).
